“Subconscious Influence on Behavior” is the topic of the free Faces of Diversity Brown Bag series from noon to 1 p.m. Friday, Jan. 25, at the Phoenix City Council Chambers, 200 W. Jefferson St.

People’s behaviors, interactions with others and the decisions they make are influenced by unconscious thoughts and paradigms that exist in their minds.  Although unintended, those thoughts and paradigms can sometimes have negative consequences on their professional and personal relationships.  

In this session, participants will be asked to make quick decisions and to think about how they would handle certain situations in and out of the workplace.  In the end, they will be more aware of the strong influence of subconscious thoughts on behavior and better equipped to build stronger relationships in their professional and personal lives.

The discussion will be facilitated by Tamika Curry Smith, president of The TCS Group, Inc., a firm that provides human resources and diversity and inclusion strategies and solutions to help clients resolve issues that impact business and organizational performance.
