INTRODUCTION

This Cultural Facilities Resource Guide is a directory of existing cultural facilities, both in Phoenix and neighboring Valley cities, that are available for use by arts organizations and artists.

The Guide is intended primarily as a resource for local arts organizations and artists seeking space for performances, exhibits, rehearsals, workshops and meetings. Through the distribution of the Guide to a broad range of arts groups and artists, it is hoped that awareness and utilization of these existing facilities will increase.

The Guide was also compiled in an attempt to analyze the number, types, availability and use of existing arts spaces in the Valley. This information will assist the City of Phoenix in its future cultural facilities planning efforts.

The Phoenix Office of Arts and Culture would like to thank the facility representatives who provided information regarding their facilities.

Not included in the Guide is information regarding available performance and exhibit spaces at local public and private schools. Arts organizations are reminded that many schools make their spaces available for community use.

The Guide was researched and compiled by Phil Jones and Dr. Dwight D. Walth, Phoenix Office of Arts and Culture.

ERRORS AND OMISSIONS

While every effort was made to solicit information and check the accuracy of all entries, some errors or omissions may have occurred. As time passes, changes in contact person names, rental rates and other information should also be expected. The City of Phoenix assumes no liability for any losses due to errors or omissions in the Guide.

To make corrections, or to include your facility in the Guide, complete and submit the online survey form(s) appropriate to the space (performance, exhibit, other). The forms can be found at: http://www.phoenix.gov/ARTFACIL/update.html
