Career Development Grants
To be eligible for
funding, the applicant must meet these requirements at the time of application:
In addition, the applicant must:
- allow a minimum of four weeks
between the submission of the application and the start date of the project
- ensure that the proposed activity
concludes no later than June 30, 2009.
Examples of eligible requests include,
but are not limited to:
- Attendance at workshops designed
to assist you with the business aspects of your career, such as marketing,
insurance, taxes, contracts, health hazards or budget managment
- Attendance at a masterclass
or workshop designed to develop skills, or learn a new process or method
related to your artistic discipline
- Attendance at events where you
have the chance to expose your work to presenters, agents, or a broader
audience
- Notification of collectors,
curators, presenters and/or the public of a major show where your work will
be included
The program will not fund
applicants:
- who are full-time students
- who are requesting support for
an academic degree program
- who are seeking support in consecutive
fiscal years
- who are seeking
support for events/activities in which they have previously participated
- who are seeking reimbursement
of fees already incurred
