Eligibility

To qualify for funding, an applicant organization must meet the following criteria:

• At the time of application, it must be a registered non-profit arts or cultural organization with tax exempt status under Section 501(c)3 of the Internal Revenue Code. Documentation of this status must accompany the application.
  
• It must be based within the City of Phoenix.

• It must have been in existence and actively programming for a minimum of two years.

• It must have a minimum prior year income of no less than $25,000

• It must employ at least one part-time paid staff member at the time of initial application.

Organizations currently receiving General Operating Support from the Phoenix Office of Arts and Culture are not eligible to apply for funding through the Capacity Building Program grant category.
