Request for Proposals for
Youth Work Experience Service Summer and After School

Pursuant to Chapter II, Section 2, Paragraph (1) of the Phoenix City Charter, the City of Phoenix Human Services Department (HSD), Youth Services Division, makes funding available to provide summer youth work experience (SYWEP) services, as well as an after-school program. The summer youth employment services is offered for youth, ages 14 through 18, who reside within the City of Phoenix. For the afterschool program youth must be 16 years – 18 years of age. Work experience is defined as a service that provides an opportunity for eligible youth to learn basic work habits, develop a strong work ethic, and obtain necessary skills and practices by connecting them to appropriate work sites that relate to their career or occupational goals. This work experience should increase their knowledge of work-related functions and activities, thereby enhancing their future employability.

A Pre-Proposal Conference will be held on January 9, 2008 at 9:00 A.M. to answer questions related to this RFP at:
