Workers' Compensation Claims Administration
The City of Phoenix Personnel Department is seeking proposals for workers' compensation claims administration. The City's Personnel Department Safety Section provides oversight and handles internal administration of the workers' compensation program. Claims adjusting will be provided by the Third Party Administrator.
The City of Phoenix has approximately 15,000 full- and part-time employees. On average the City generates 2,100 workers compensation claims per year. The successful Third Party Administrator will provide claims administration for all claims that occurred on or after April 1, 2003, as well as all claims that occur after the implementation date of the new contract.
This RFP was originally posted on December 15, 2008, and was re-posted on December 22, 2008. The re-posted RFP reflects typographical changes only. No substantive changes were made.A pre-proposal conference will be held on Wednesday, January 7, 2009 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. (MST) at the City of Phoenix, Personnel Building, 1st Floor Test Room. The Personnel Building is located at 135 North Second Avenue, Phoenix, Arizona, 85003.

Proposals are due Monday, January 26, 2009 by 3:00 p.m. (MST) at the City of Phoenix Personnel Department/Safety Section, 135 N. Second Avenue, 6th Floor, Phoenix, AZ 85003.
