South Building Renovations

Work to renovate the interior of the existing South Building, originally scheduled to take place in a six-month period in 2009, has been accelerated. Renovation work will now be scheduled around South Building event activity in 2006, 2007 and 2008. Coordinating Phase Two construction and South Building renovations allows the entire new convention center to begin hosting groups in early 2009, and accelerates the date when the state, the city and residents can realize positive fiscal and economic benefits from the fully-completed project.
