How do I turn my water off at the meter?
If a customer needs to turn off the water at the meter box, it must be done by a city employee only to prevent damaging the meter and the meter valve. To get your water turned off temporarily (then turned back on), please contact the Water Services Customer Services Division, Monday through Friday, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., excluding city holidays, at 602-262-6251. In case an emergency plumbing repair is needed after hours or on the weekend, you can contact 602-261-8000.
