Repayment Agreements

A Repayment Agreement is a form of contract between the city and the developer. It stipulates that once the developer has installed a main extension, the city will collect a repayment amount. The repayment is based on the following:

* Water = Based on linear feet (front feet) of main measured along the specified property frontage.

* Sewer = Based on the acreage of the specified property or individuals in the benefiting area.

These Repayment Agreements are an attempt to defray some of the cost of the main extension. We compile the necessary information from the executed agreement with a copy of the agreement exhibit. This repayment exhibit is used by all technicians that sell water and sewer services. It identifies the repayment area and the repayment amount for each development in the affected area.

* Submitted with the water/sewer plan review process.
