Mattox re-appointed vice-chair on national environment panel
Phoenix Councilman Claude Mattox has been reappointed as vice chair of the Energy, Environment and Natural Resources Policy Committee of the National League of Cities for 2007.
The committee develops policy positions and advocates on national issues involving municipal governments. Mattox also chairs the City Council Land Use, Environment and Natural Resources Subcommittee.
Mattox hosted a group of steering committee members in Phoenix late last year, sharing city environmental programs, like Rio Salado, Tres Rios and green buildings.
The National League of Cities represents 19,000 cities and towns throughout the United States.
