Sponsored by: Merrill Lynch in partnership with the Arizona Diamondbacks, Valley Leadership, and the Phoenix Youth and Education Commission.
Registration
GOAL
- Immerse business leaders in the public school environment.
- Increase awareness of educational issues and challenges.
- Provide a platform for lasting partnerships between business and schools.
- Enhance awareness of workplace skills necessary for students to succeed as adults.
Past participants have established long-term business partnerships with their schools that include mentoring, workplace readiness, and leadership development programs. Many have contributed needed financial and technical support.
HOW THE PROGRAM WORKS
- School principals submit a registration form to participate in the program.
- Participants are selected on a first come, first served basis. Principals are then matched with a business executive and receive information about their assigned partner in the program.
- You are responsible for contacting your business executive partner to select a date between November 17 and November 19, 2008 for him or her to spend the day at the school with you.
- Attend the Principal For a Day luncheon on November 20, 2008 at the Arizona Biltmore.
