The Workforce Investment Act of 1998, mandates that Local Workforce Investment Boards develop and submit to the Governor a comprehensive Two Year Plan. The plan includes:IDENTIFICATION OF:
- Workforce investment needs of businesses, job seekers and workers in the local area;
- Current and projected employment opportunities in the local area, and;
- Job skills necessary to obtain such employment opportunities.
A DESCRIPTION OF:
- The One-Stop delivery system to be established or designated in the local area;
- Services available for Adults, Dislocated Workers, Youth and Businesses.
The City of Phoenix's local Workforce Connection Division submitted the following Two Year Plan to the Governor of Arizona, and in September, 2000 received approval to implement the plan as written.
