The Financial Systems Applications and Support Division supports financial systems used throughout the Finance Department and the City. User support on the various financial software applications is the number one priority of the division; including advanced help desk support, training, documentation, and making business process and programming changes to reflect the changing requirements of users.
This division also provides business analysis and project management support to several state of the art software applications such as SAP, Cashier for Windows, and Open Text.
The division plays an active role in project management and systems replacement support. The division also supports the department's Intranet and Internet as well as all desktops, scanners, printers, servers, and the department network.
Users of the City's SAP system are supported by this division. SAP is the world leader in business application software and is used by Phoenix to support core business processes including financial accounting, cost accounting, funds management, CIP accounting, inventory, purchasing, labor tracking, grant management, and work management.
