The Phoenix Fire Department's
800 MHz Training!

[800MHz Home]  [800MHz News[Procedures]   [Training]   [Glossary]   [FAQ]   [About Us]   [Contact Us]

Phase two of the Fire Department’s new radio awareness training started during the first quarter of 2003. Our goal is to provide our members with a general understanding of their new radio system. This training will provide them with information as to the description of the radio system, how it operates, and how it will improve our ability to communicate.

During the training phase, Phoenix Fire Training Representatives will visit fire stations to provide information related to the new radio system. A fifteen-minute video will be presented featuring the following topics:

  • Background on change
  • The planning History of the Phoenix Regional Wireless Network
  • System coverage
  • The timeline for future training

Please ask questions during these visits. Your Training Representative will answer your questions to the best of their ability. All questions will be forwarded to the radio team at technical services.

Click here to email the 800 MHz Team with your questions.
