Fire Prevention & Code Enforcement

The Phoenix Fire Prevention Section is responsible for fire systems and new construction plans review, permits and site inspections. As part of fire prevention, Fire is responsible for lock boxes, service requests, hazardous materials and general code inquiries. For more information, call (602) 262-6771.

CODE: High Rises and Firefighter Air Systems**

**As of April 10, 2004 the Phoenix Fire Department will require the installation of a firefighter air system in high rise and certain underground buildings. Section 1008 of the Phoenix Fire Code contains the system design criteria and construction requirements. If you have questions regarding these requirements please contact the Special Hazards Unit at 602-534-2666.
