The Youth Firesetter Intervention Program offers free monthly classes for children and youth ages three to seventeen. All classes are taught by experienced Phoenix Firefighters using age-based curriculums.
Education classes and times are as follows:
- Youth ages 11–17 and youth diverted by the juvenile court attend one Saturday from 8:45 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Curriculum includes:
- Arizona Arson and Fireworks Laws
- The Properties of Fire/Fire Science
- Fire in the Media
- Consequences, Choices and Responsibilities
- Burn Injuries
- How the Community is Affected by Firesetting
- Fire Safety
- Youth ages 7–10, attend one Saturday per month from 8:45 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Curriculum includes:

- Children ages 3-6, attend one Saturday per month from 12:30 p.m. to 1:30 p.m.

- Tools and Toys
- Fire Safety
- Good and Bad Fire
All classes are held at the Phoenix Fire Department’s Fire Administration Building located at 150 S. 12th Street in Phoenix, Arizona
