Description Arts Education grants support Phoenix public schools. Projects must incorporate an education strategy related to the school's curriculum, the Arizona Arts Standards or enhancement of the school's arts programs. Description The purpose of this category is to help in the general operations of the organization, promote organizational stability, stimulate growth and professional development and increase the organization's accessibility to the general public. In 2009-10, applications will be accepted from arts and cultural organizations that are non-profit organizations whose primary activity is the production or exhibition of visual art, design, music, dance, theater, literature, science, zoology, botany, natural history and cultural history for the benefit of the general public. Description Community Arts Project grants represent a flexible area of funding assistance for Phoenix arts or cultural activities that foster the artistic development of organizations and promote the community's cultural richness. These grants may support arts activities that:
- connect arts and culture to underserved communities
- address perceived barriers to attendance or participation
- support artistic innovation and risk taking
- develop new audiences and/or deepen audience experiences
- support the growth and development of the organization's artistic quality or enhance the scope of its mission
In the various kinds of proposals that project grants support, collaborations between arts or cultural organizations are strongly encouraged. Examples of collaboration might include projects that combine disciplines, joint marketing strategies or audience development initiatives.

Description The Festival Grants Program provides funding for Phoenix-based festivals that highlight the multidisciplinary arts and cultural activities of a specific ethnic culture.
