What if I'm locked out of my apartment or lose my key?
A lock out is not considered an emergency situation. When a family leases
a unit, two keys are issued to prevent a lock out situation. If the
lock out occurs during working hours a work order can be place and maintenance
staff will either make a duplicate key or respond and open the unit.
If the lock out occurs at night, the family will need to wait until
the following morning to place a work order for assistance.
What is the term of my lease? The term
of the lease is twelve months. All move outs require a thirty day advance
written notice.
What happens if my gas utility is turned off for non-payment? Residents must ensure that their gas utility remains
turned on during the tenancy period. Failure to maintain an active service
is a lease violation and subject to eviction.
Can I have a pet?
Yes, families residing in Public Housing units are entitled to have one pet, either a dog or
a cat. Prior to acquiring a pet, the family must execute a Pet Addendum
in advance. A one hundred dollar ($100.00) refundable pet deposit is required.
