    Sand Dollar
    Located in Northwest Phoenix, this seventy (70) unit apartment retirement community is designed to provide affordable living for seniors, age 55 and older. Sand Dollar is conveniently located near Interstate 17, shopping centers, grocery stores and the bus line.

    Sand Dollar offers spacious one and two bedroom apartments for low and moderate income seniors. There are fifty-four (54) one-bedroom apartments and 16 two-bedroom apartments. One-bedroom apartments are 600 square feet and two-bedroom apartments are 900 square feet. Each size apartment is offered at each income level.

    The monthly rental amount for a one-bedroom apartment at Sand Dollar is $410 for low income seniors and $535 for moderate income seniors. The monthly rental amount for a two-bedroom apartment is $460 for low income seniors and $680 for moderate income seniors. Rental agreements and renewals may be negotiated for terms of six months to one year. Residents that have completed one regular rental term may go on a month by month basis for an additional $25 per month. Please refer to the diagram below for minimum and maximum (gross) yearly income requirements.

    A $100 security deposit is required. In addition, there is a non-refundable $90 redecorating fee and an application fee of $25.
