Located near the base of the North Mountain Preserve, in North Central Phoenix, this three-story, one hundred and sixteen (116) unit apartment community is dedicated to helping our local seniors continue living and active and fulfilling life throughout their retirement years. Residents share a real sense of community spirit. Sunnyslope Manor is conveniently located near John C. Lincoln Hospital, Sunnyslope Senior Center and the bus line.

Sunnyslope Manor offers spacious unfurnished, one-bedroom apartments. The all-eletric kitchens have plentiful cupboard space, a large pantry and a full size frost-free refrigerator. Each bathroom offers a tub or shower with safety handrails. Five large closets provide plenty of storage. Most apartments offer a private balcony or patio with views of the Mountain Preserve. For resident comfort, each apartment is equipped with an individual air conditioning/heating unit.

Additional services provided to the residents of Sunnyslope Manor include:
  • 24 hour Emergency staff
  • Buddy "check" system where neighbor's check on neighbors' well-being
  • Free weekly transportation to grocery stores, shopping malls and pharmacies
  • Laundry facilities on each floor. Residents pay two dollars ($2.00) per month
    to use the non-coin operated machines. Individual lockers provide storage for laundry supplies.
  • Jacuzzi rooms on the 2nd and 3rd floors
  • Two supplemental food programs for those who qualify
  • A visiting nurse, from the staff of the John C. Lincoln Senior Wellness Program, provides
    blood pressure, blood sugar and vision checks, administers flu shots and other preventive care one time per month.

Site management and the Resident Council join together to provide social, educational, medical, musical, and recreational events for our residents, including:

Since Sunnyslope Manor is subsidized by HUD, rent is based on the resident's income. Residents pay thirty percent (30%) of their adjusted annual income or ten percent (10%) of their gross income, whichever is greater. Rent includes reasonable electric usage. Security deposits are required and are equal to one months rent. One pet is permitted, a pet deposit and some restrictions apply.
