Located in the heart of Central Phoenix, this three-story, one hundred and twelve (112) unit apartment community is dedicated to helping our local seniors continue living and active and fulfilling life throughout their retirement years. Washington Manor is conveniently located to Downtown Phoenix, Sky Harbor International Airport, Luke Krohn Senior Center and the bus line.

Washington Manor offers spacious, unfurnished one-bedroom apartments. The all-eletric kitchens have plentiful cupboard space, a large pantry and a full size frost-free refrigerator. Each bathroom offers a tub or shower with safety handrails. Five large closets provide plenty of storage. All apartments offer a private patio or balcony. For resident comfort, each apartment is equipped with an individual air conditioning/heating unit.

Additional services and features provided to the residents of Washington Manor include:
  • 24 hour emergency staff
  • Buddy "check" system where neighbor's check on neighbor's well-being
  • Free weekly transportation to grocery stores, shopping malls and pharmacies
  • Laundry facilities on each floor. Residents pay two dollars ($2.00) per month to use the non-coin operated machines.
  • Mobile Postal Unit visiting twice per month
  • Two supplemental food programs for those who qualify
  • Resident gardens
  • Interior corridors provide greater security

Site management and the Resident Council join together to provide social, educational, medical, recreational and musical events for our residents, including:
  • Weekly Bingo Games
  • Craft Classes
  • Holiday Celebrations and Dinners

Since Washington Manor is subsidized by HUD, rent is based on the resident's income. Residents pay thirty percent (30%) of their adjusted annual income or ten percent (10%) of their gross income, whichever is greater. Rent includes reasonable electric usage. Security deposits are required and are the greater of one month's rent or one hundred dollars ($100.00). One pet is permitted, a pet deposit and some restrictions apply.
