Urgent Needs

The Human Services Department offers assistance to low-income households experiencing crisis. Assistance with urgent needs could be one of the following:

  • Utilities assistance
  • Eviction prevention and/or move-in costs
  • Case management assistance
Eligibility Information
Eligibility criteria varies between different program and funding sources. Applicants must be a Phoenix resident and provide proof of residency. Some funding sources restrict assistance to once per 12-month period.

How to apply
A face-to-face interview must be conducted with a human services caseworker to review documents and determine eligibility.

Where to apply
Households with a member age 60 or over may contact the PACE program at 602-262-6631. All others must call for an appointment at their nearest Family Services Center.
