DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF THE ASSIGNMENT:

The Police Records Clerk, on assignment as Traffic Lead, is responsible for assisting the Police Traffic Section Supervisor with the supervision of the section. Responsibilities include handling the more complex and technical permit issuance problems; reviewing, monitoring, directing and evaluating the work of Typists II and Police Records Clerks assigned to the Traffic Section; and training, scheduling and prioritizing the work of subordinates. This is a full supervisory assignment, with the authority to exercise considerable independent judgment in the daily operation of the section.
