DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF THE ASSIGNMENT:

The Police Coding Clerk on assignment as a Lead is responsible for providing guidance to Police Coding Clerks on an assigned shift. As Lead, the incumbents train new Police Coding Clerks; review, monitor, schedule, and prioritize the work of clerks; handle special incidents and complex coding problems; and assist in completing performance ratings.

This assignment is distinguished from the base class of Police Coding Clerk by the lead responsibility and the independence with which the assigned duties are performed.
