DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF THE ASSIGNMENT:

The Desktop Publisher on assignment as Lead is responsible for overseeing the work of Desktop Publishers. This includes sorting and allocating work, monitoring production and the quality of work, solving problems, training new Desktop Publishers, and providing input to the Printing Services Supervisor for employee performance appraisal reports. The Lead also does desktop publishing and assists customers who have technical desktop publishing questions or need advice regarding project materials. This assignment is distinguished from the base class of Desktop Publisher by the lead responsibility and the independence with which work is performed. The incumbent reports to the Printing Services Supervisor.
