DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF THE ASSIGNMENT:

The Deputy City Clerk on assignment to Office Information Systems is responsible for managing the information systems and functions within the City Clerk Department, overseeing the provision of technical support and training to customer departments, and managing the City's enterprise messaging system. Work involves major and complex information technology decisions in the areas of equipment and system software procurement, development, evaluation, and maintenance. Responsibility for the management and supervision of departmental and organizational information technology support, development, consultation, and training functions distinguish this assignment from the base class.
