DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF THE ASSIGNMENT:

The Deputy Finance Director in this assignment increases City housing stock and enhances City neighborhoods through the identification and implementation of creative financial opportunities. The incumbent provides staff support, direction, and interdepartmental coordination for specialized financing projects involving housing and neighborhoods. This support involves implementation and oversight of tax exempt financing. The incumbent of this assignment also provides staff support to the Phoenix Commission on Housing, including technical assistance, presentations, and follow-up on agenda issues. Coordination of non-profit corporation financing for housing and neighborhoods is a project goal assigned to the incumbent. The incumbent serves as spokesperson and advocate for the program in meetings with the public and the business community. The incumbent of the assignment reports to the Finance Director.
