CLAIMS ADJUSTER II

JOB CODE 12330

Effective Date: Rev. 11/06A

DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF THE CLASS:

The fundamental reason this classification exists is to investigate and adjust third party bodily injury and property damage claims, process subrogation claims, write reports, and perform other claims related tasks. Incumbents work under general supervision on routine assignments and under closer supervision on assignments involving complex claims. Initiative and judgment are applied in accordance with established policies. Work is reviewed through work papers, reports, and conferences with the supervising Risk Management Coordinator.

ACCEPTABLE EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING:
Two years of experience in liability claims handling and a bachelor's degree in risk management, business administration, or a related field. Other combinations of experience and education that meet the minimum requirements may be substituted.
