DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF THE ASSIGNMENT:

The Parks and Recreation Aide on assignment to Cashier is responsible for providing front-line customer service at public pools and other recreational facilities. Responsibilities include collecting admission and registration fees, as well as providing information regarding site location, hours of operation, and daily activities. Incumbents also assist in maintaining cleanliness of lobby areas, locker rooms, and restrooms. In emergency situations, this position will provide assistance to facility patrons under direction of the Pool Manager or other supervisor.

The requirements to provide direct customer service and conduct monetary transactions distinguish this assignment from the base class.
