DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF THE ASSIGNMENT:

The Equipment Operator III on this assignment drives an asphalt distributor ("boot truck") and supervises a crew of three employees. The "boot truck" crew performs a variety of tasks such as fog sealing, chip sealing, and working with a granite mix and dust palliative. This position reports to a Street Maintenance Foreman II and oversees the crew without the direct supervision and guidance of the foreman. This assignment differs from the Equipment Operator III by the additional responsibility of supervising a crew, without the direct guidance of a foreman.
