The goal of the Domestic Violence Unit is to have early and consistent contact with the domestic violence victim and continue that cooperative relationship throughout the criminal justice process.
The Domestic Violence Unit is a component of the Training Bureau. The Unit consists of attorneys, legal assistants, and victim advocates. It prosecutes those defendants who are repeat offenders or who commit the most serious domestic violence offenses. The goal of the Unit is to have early and consistent contact with the domestic violence victim and continue that cooperative relationship throughout the criminal justice process.
