The Land Use Section is primarily responsible for legal work associated with the following departments and functions: Parks, Historic Preservation, Planning, Development Services, Neighborhood Services and Human Services. Each of the four attorneys assigned to this section represents specific departments and act as "in-house" counsel to their respective clients.
While the work performed for each client may differ, each attorney generally provides representation in litigation (both judicial and administrative), acts as general counsel, and participates in the preparation and review of documents such as ordinances, memoranda, contracts, deeds, and leases for each client that the attorney represents.
