It is recommended that you send in your payment by the middle of the month prior to the beginning of the quarter/period.

Explanation of Penalties: Penalties are based on *City Code Chapter 6, Section 6-9.2 (click here to view City Code). Liquor license fees are due by 5:00 p.m. on the last business day of the month prior to the beginning of the quarter/period. If payment is received after the quarter/period begins, a penalty will be assessed. If payment is received during the first month of the quarter/period it will be considered late and will incur a 10% penalty. If payment is received during the second month of the quarter an additional 5% penalty will be charged. If payment is not received until the third month an additional 5% penalty will be charged. Therefore, if payment is not received by the third month of the quarter/period the total penalty will be 20% of the amount owed for that quarter/period.

Example 1

Liquor Fee
$360

1st Month Late
$360 x 10% =
$36 penalties
2nd Month Late
$360 x 5% = $18 penalties
3rd Month Late
$360 x 5% = $18 penalties

Example 2

1 Month Late: $360 + $36 = $396
2 Months Late: $360 + $36 + $18 = $414
3 Months Late: $360 + $36 + $18 +18 = $432
