Neighborhood Resources Guide to City Services now Available
March 7, 2001
To help residents locate information about the many services available to them, the city of Phoenix has created the Neighborhood Resource Guide.
The 170-page guide is a compendium of services ranging from zoning to youth programs, water services to affordable housing, buses to block watch.
"Phoenix offers so many services, but it hasn’t always been easy for our residents to figure out who to go to for what," said District 7 Councilman Doug Lingner, who spearheaded the effort. "The resource guide combines a lot of information into an easy to follow format which hopefully will provide quick information for most questions."
Residents can use the guide at their local fire station, police precinct or neighborhood association. A downloadable copy is also available on the Internet at phoenix.gov/NRG/index.html.
A Spanish version of the Neighborhood Resource Guide will be published in April.
