Phoenix Garners Luxury Car Dealership in Chauncey Ranch

Schumacher European is relocating to the northwest corner of Scottsdale Road
and Chauncey Lane in Chauncey Ranch, ½ mile south of Loop 101. Currently located
in the Scottsdale Airpark, Schumacher is one of three Mercedes Benz dealerships
in the Valley. The new site on nine acres of prime real estate will consolidate
the dealership showroom, sales and service facilities.
"We are excited about Schumacher's move to our city," said District
2 Councilwoman Peggy Neely. "Schumacher European represents the type of quality
businesses that we want to attract to this area. Our residents will benefit
from an upscale auto buying experience with a significant increase in sales
tax revenue for the city of Phoenix."
Michael Schumacher, general sales manager, said the new dealership would
be double the size of its current location. "Moving to Phoenix near the Loop
101 will give our clients easier access to our facility with faster service
at one of the new 64 service bays with lifts."
The dealership, which employs 125 people, anticipates opening its Phoenix
location within 18 to 24 months. The new 88,000-square-foot state-of-the-art
facility will include a Cyber Café with Starbucks Coffee and computers with
Internet access, and a Mercedes Boutique that offers signature merchandise
such as watches, clothing and car accessories.
Schumacher European will be located north of Chauncey Lane across from the
Chauncey Auto Boutique which consists of 11 luxury auto dealerships including
Jaguar, Aston Martin, Lincoln, Volvo, Acura, BMW, Range Rover, Porsche, Audi,
Rolls Royce and Volkswagen. With the addition of Schumacher European, this
area will represent one of the highest concentrations of luxury automobile
dealerships in the nation.
