City Web Page Offers One-Stop Shopping for Grant Information
Feb. 28, 2002
Nonprofit and community groups interested in applying for city of Phoenix
grant funding can tap into a new Internet resource to make the search easier.
The new Phoenix Grants Web Site acts as a portal with links to other pages
within the city's Phoenix at Your Fingertips Web site relating to grants and
funding opportunities. The site can be found at http://phoenix.gov/GRANTS/grantpgm.html
on the Internet.
This new resource includes a complete listing of grant and funding sources administered by the city, tips on successful grant writing, frequently asked questions and links to outside sources such as libraries for more information. Categories of funding include arts, community development, historic preservation, housing, human services, parks, public safety, small business and youth.
Last year, the city of Phoenix awarded more than $6 million in funding to nonprofit and community organizations through programs such as the Neighborhood Block Watch, Community Development Block Grant, Arts-in-Education and other locally and federally-funded programs.
