Eagle-Picher Industries Corporate Headquarters to Relocate to Phoenix, Arizona

Jan. 7, 2002

Eagle-Picher Industries, a diversified manufacturer of industrial products for the automotive, defense, aerospace and other industrial markets worldwide, announced recently the move of its corporate headquarters from Cincinnati, Ohio to Phoenix, Ariz. in February 2002.

"The business environment, excellent infrastructure, workforce availability and transportation - both domestic and international - makes Phoenix a great location for our company," said Eagle-Picher President and CEO John H. Weber. "These factors, in addition to the outstanding support received by the office of the Mayor and City Council of Phoenix all contributed to our decision to move.

Although we'll miss the people and city of Cincinnati, we are very enthusiastic about our move and becoming a member of the Phoenix business community."

Approximately 20 employees will be affected by the move. The location for the new offices has not been finalized.

"We are very excited Eagle-Picher has chosen to join the many other companies that call Phoenix home," said Phoenix Community and Economic Development Director Patrick Grady.

Eagle-Picher Industries, founded in 1843, operates more than 40 plants and has 5,300 employees in the United States, Canada, Mexico, the United Kingdom, Germany and Japan. All of the company's operations are conducted through Eagle-Picher Industries and its subsidiaries.
