The theme for this year's National Infant Immunization Week is "Vaccination:
An Act of Love - Love Them, Protect Them, Immunize Them!"
This annual observance emphasizes immunizing infants against 12 vaccine
preventable diseases by the age of two. The Phoenix Fire Department wants
to participate in this important observance by offering childhood vaccinations
for FREE! It's all part of the fire department's nationally recognized "Baby
Shots" program.
If your child is in need of current vaccines or has fallen behind in his/her
immunization schedule, here's your chance to catch up. Vaccinations will be
given to protect against 12 serious childhood diseases: Measles, Mumps, Rubella
(German Measles), Diphtheria, Tetanus (Lockjaw), Pertussis (Whooping Cough),
Polio, Haemophilus Influenzae Type B, Pneumococcus, Hepatitis A, Hepatitis
B, and Varicella (Chicken Pox).
Children from 6 weeks to 18 years of age are eligible for the vaccinations.
Past immunization records must be brought to this event.
