KNOW99 Television Receives 13 Telly Awards for Creative Achievement

The 25th Anniversary Telly Awards honored know99 Television, the city's youth and education channel, with 13 awards. The majority of the awards go to student reporters from the Phoenix Youth and Education Commission.

The station received three Silver Telly Awards, the highest honor, for the station's graphic and music packages, and for 'Issael Altero', an outstanding young man profile produced by Creative Director Marcos Najera. Student reporters for know99 Television earned ten Bronze Telly Awards for 'Genomics' produced by Ty Rosensteel; 'Phoenix Zoo' produced by Meghan Meyerson; 'The Ragsdales' produced by Sam Feldman; 'Perfect Score' produced by Uven Chong; 'National League of Cities' produced by Greg Lehman and Sam Feldman; 'Argonaut: Brittany' produced by Efrain Robles; 'Argonaut: Jordan' produced by Davronja Dossie; 'JASON Project Special,' a joint project by know99 and the Phoenix Zoo; the know99 Television demo reel; and 'TV411 Promo' produced by Davronja Dossie.

Founded in 1978, the Telly Awards is the premier award honoring outstanding local, regional, and cable TV commercials and programs, as well as the finest video and film productions. The Telly Awards annually showcases the best work of the most respected advertising agencies, production companies, television stations, cable operators and corporate video departments in the world. The Telly Awards is a widely known and highly respected national and international competition and receives more than 10,000 entries annually from all 50 states and many foreign countries.
