NEWS RELEASE - SKY HARBOR ENCOURAGES TRAVELERS TO CALL PARKING HOTLINE BEFORE LEAVING HOME City of Phoenix, Arizona, Official Municipal Web site - City News

Sky Harbor Encourages Travelers To Call Parking Hotline before Leaving Home

Oct. 15, 2004

Economy parking is even busier than usual at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport this weekend. Parking officials have opened an economy overflow lot on the west side of the airport, and are encouraging travelers to call the parking hotline before leaving home. The hotline number is 602-273-4545, 602-273-4546 or 602-273-4547. Sky Harbor parking office employees answer the hotline and provide up-to-the-minute information on available space at the airport.

Economy parking at Sky Harbor costs only $5 a day for uncovered and $7 a day for economy garage parking. For added convenience, travelers may park in the terminal garages for $1 per half hour or $16 a day. Passengers planning to park at Sky Harbor are advised to arrive at the airport two hours before their flight departs.

Sky Harbor would also like to remind those picking up passengers at the curb that the "Stage & Go" lot is now open. The free waiting area is a stress-free alternative to circling the terminals. The "Stage & Go" lot, located west of the Terminal 2 garage, is free of charge. The lot provides drivers a place to wait in their cars, until passengers walk out to the curb.
