New Council Aide Joins Councilman Stanton’s Office

Councilman Greg Stanton’s office has added Kweilin Pipkin as a new council aide. Pipkin will be responsible for handling constituent inquires, conducting research on neighborhood issues and representing the District 6 Council office at neighborhood and community events.

Pipkin is a native of Pittsburgh, Pa., and worked previously with the city of Tempe Transit Division. She graduated from Hampton University in Virginia, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science, and is nearing completion of her Master of Public Administration degree from Arizona State University.

“Kweilin is a strong addition to our hard-working and professional staff,” said Stanton. “Her work experience and education have prepared her well for serving our residents.”

Pipkin takes the former position of Marc Thornton, who was promoted to the Council office’s chief of staff position.

District 6 includes Ahwatukee Foothills, Arcadia, Biltmore and north central Phoenix.
