PHX 11, the city of Phoenix news and information station, is partnering with LAT TV -KVPA/CH42, a new Spanish-language television station in Phoenix, to provide Spanish programming for its station.
“We are excited about this new partnership because we are one of the first government television stations in the country to seek out this type of union and it reinforces our commitment to expanding our audience base,” said Deborah Sedillo Dugan, PHX 11 station manager. “The type of programming we will be providing for LAT TV will coincide with overall city messages.”
LAT TV, based in Houston, provides a variety of entertainment and educational programming. The agreement with PHX 11 involves the government channel making available existing Spanish-language programming, such as water safety public service announcements, transit information as well as other city news and information.
“It is our commitment to offer the best high quality programming and valuable information to our viewers, so we are pleased to partner with PHX 11,” said Dawn Page, LAT TV – KVPA/CH42 director of community affairs and public relations.
The local LAT TV affiliate will air Phoenix news and information three days a week, Monday, Wednesday and Friday at 8 a.m., 11:30 a.m. and midnight.
