Councilwoman Neely Announces Speakers for Upcoming Info and Issues Breakfast Meetings

Councilwoman Neely will host her monthly District 2 Info and Issues breakfast meeting at 7 a.m. Friday, Aug. 24. The event is open to all residents and will be held at Roy’s Restaurant at the JW Marriott Desert Ridge Resort and Spa, 5350 E. Marriott Drive (north of Deer Valley Road, between Tatum Boulevard and 56th Street).

This month’s speakers will be Tim Tait, community relations project manager, Arizona Department of Transportation and Tom Callow, senior executive assistant to the city manager, city of Phoenix. Both will discuss traffic developments and overall transit.

Guest speakers for the remainder of the year include:

  • Friday, Sept. 21 – Debra Stark, planning director, city of Phoenix;
  • Friday, Oct. 26 – Chief Jack Harris, Phoenix Police Department and Chief Bob Khan, Phoenix Fire Department;
  • Friday, Nov. 30 – Michael Bidwill, president, Arizona Cardinals;
  • Friday, Dec. 14 – Dr. Jeffery Trent, president and scientific director, TGEN and Dr. Victor Trastek, chief operating officer, Mayo Clinic.

A light breakfast buffet will be offered for $5 per person; coffee and juice will be provided complimentary. Valet is available at no charge and self-parking also is available.
