The office of Councilman Greg Stanton and the Phoenix Parks and Recreation Department are hosting a free “Dive-in” movie on Saturday, Aug. 25, at Pecos Pool, 17010 S. 48th St. (enter the park from 48th Street, via Chandler Boulevard). Doors will open at 7 p.m. and the movie will start promptly at 8 p.m.
The free event will feature the animated movie “Shrek,” a comedy adventure featuring an ogre who travels along with an annoying donkey in order to bring a princess to a scheming lord, so he can regain his swamp. Families can beat the heat by enjoying a fun flick while taking a dip in the pool.
