Councilmembers Tom Simplot and Claude Mattox Host Crime Summit

City Council Districts 4 and 5 will host a Crime Summit from 7:30 to 11 a.m. Saturday, March 31. The free event will be held at the Christown Harkins Theater, 5705 N. 19th Ave. (19th and Montebello avenues) at Spectrum Mall. Joining the summit will be Mayor Phil Gordon, the city’s public safety manager, Jack Harris, along with Councilmembers Simplot and Mattox.

Residents from both districts are encouraged to attend along their fellow neighborhood leaders and activists, law enforcement members and government representatives to discuss crime issues. Past summits have proven to be beneficial in working through tough problems that affect the community. The summit also provides a forum to generate ideas for city staff to implement regarding various topics including crime, blight and graffiti.

To confirm your attendance or receive additional information, call the District 4 office at 602-262-7447.
