The city of Phoenix Parks and Recreation Department Latino Institute, Youth Development Office and Community and Economic Development Department will present the 16th Annual Teen Conference on Saturday, Oct. 27, from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. and job fair from 1 to 4 p.m. at Phoenix College, 1202 W. Thomas Road.
This conference is open to students ages 14 - 21 to provide them with vital information and networking opportunities to enhance their future.
Students will have the opportunity to listen to lectures by professionals from various fields and attend educational workshops. The workshops will allow students to voice their opinions while interacting with their peers. In addition, informational tables will be available for students to ask questions and gather important information needed to succeed in their personal and professional lives.
Students continuing their education can enter a scholarship essay competition and win funds toward tuition, books and laptops.
