Stephen Banick, an adventure-seeking globetrotter, international business person and master storyteller, will discuss the lessons he has learned traveling on six continents at the free Faces of Diversity Brown Bag luncheon series at noon Friday, April 18, at the Phoenix City Council Chambers, 200 W. Jefferson St.
From 20 years of cross-cultural experiences, he will create a navigational blueprint for all those seeking empowering, enriching experiences in the 21st century. Banick will focus on how globalization, multiculturalism and diversity are defining our shrinking global neighborhood and how we can use these features to benefit - and protect - ourselves. He will share his thoughts on what it means to be a New Gulliver - an aware, informed and connected “traveler” in this new world.
The free series, an outreach of the city’s “We’re All On The Same Team” program, is sponsored by the Phoenix Human Relations Commission and the city’s Equal Opportunity Department. It features dynamic people telling their stories about diversity.
Bring your lunch and enjoy a cultural experience. No reservations are needed. For more information, call 602-261-8242 or 602-534-1557/TTY or visit phoenix.gov/eod/bbag.html.
