Learn about the current trends in alternative energy at the ninth annual Global Links Business Outlook Luncheon, 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Friday, May 9, at the Grand Ballroom in the Arizona Biltmore Hotel, 2400 E. Missouri Ave.
This year’s keynote speaker is Jaycie Chitwood, senior strategic planner at the Advanced Technologies Group of Toyota Motor Corporation. A member of the team that developed the energy-efficient hybrid Toyota Prius, Chitwood will speak about the latest trends concerning alternative fuel vehicles at Toyota. She will be joined by Russell Smolden, manager of government relations for Salt River Project and Patrick Dinkel, director of resource acquisition and renewable energy at Arizona Public Service Company. Smolden will discuss hydroelectric energy and Dinkel will talk about APS's Solana solar power plant project, which is under construction and will be the world's largest solar power plant once operable.
The luncheon, presented by Intel Corporation, costs $55 for Phoenix Sister Cities members and $60 for non-members or $500 for a table of 10, onsite registration is slightly higher. Registration deadline is May 4.
