Fans will have the opportunity to watch great major league baseball while supporting a very worthwhile event at the 2008 ABC Charity Classic. The Phoenix Parks and Recreation Department will host the 11th Annual ABC Charity Classic at 1:05 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 29, when the Oakland A’s take on the Milwaukee Brewers at Phoenix Municipal Stadium.
Proceeds from the game will benefit Kool Kids, a Parks and Recreation Department program that provides free swimming for youth under the age of 18 at select city pools. Last summer, the Kool Kids Program enabled children to make over 157,000 visits to cool off and have fun.
Two for one ticket vouchers to the ABC Charity Classic are available by calling 602-262-6541 or visiting 1802 W. Encanto Blvd. Buy one outfield reserved seat at regular price ($10) and receive one outfield reserved seat FREE. The vouchers can be exchanged for tickets at the Phoenix Municipal Stadium Box Office and are subject to availability.
Phoenix Municipal Stadium, spring training home of the Oakland A’s, is located at 5999 E. Van Buren. For additional information visit phoenix.gov/parks or call 602-262-6541.
