Phoenix Parks and Recreation Spring Class Lineup Now Online

The Phoenix Parks and Recreation Department’s full lineup of spring 2008 general interest classes and recreational sports is now online in the Classes and Programs link at phoenix.gov/parks. Registration for the spring season opens Feb. 2 at 10:30 a.m. Participants can register online with any major credit card from any computer 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The department also has created an e-mail newsline, a free service available to anyone by clicking on the “Join our e-mail newsline” icon at phoenix.gov/parks.

Parents can choose from dozens of sports and general interest classes and programs that meet every child’s interest -- from cooking to fine arts and music, from t-ball to soccer. The Phoenix Parks and Recreation’s classes and programs feature experienced, enthusiastic instructors at convenient times and affordable prices. Parks rangers lead interpretive outdoor programs that give families a fun way to learn about the city’s desert preserve system.

Adults don’t have to sit on the sidelines. They can get fit with an array of fitness classes, learn a new language or skill, or explore the city’s magnificent desert preserves on a guided outdoor program.

Phoenix Parks and Recreation Department programs and classes are offered at sites throughout the city. Spring classes and programs run from March through May. Session lengths range from four weeks to ten weeks. Comprehensive information on the department’s facilities, parks, programs and services is available online at phoenix.gov/parks. General information is available by phone at 602-262-6862.
