The Phoenix Parks and Recreation Department’s full lineup of spring 2008 general interest classes and recreational sports is now online in the Classes and Programs link at phoenix.gov/parks. Registration for the spring season opens Feb. 2 at 10:30 a.m. Participants can register online with any major credit card from any computer 24 hours a day, seven days a week. The department also has created an e-mail newsline, a free service available to anyone by clicking on the “Join our e-mail newsline” icon at phoenix.gov/parks.
Parents can choose from dozens of sports and general interest classes and programs that meet every child’s interest -- from cooking to fine arts and music, from t-ball to soccer. The Phoenix Parks and Recreation’s classes and programs feature experienced, enthusiastic instructors at convenient times and affordable prices. Parks rangers lead interpretive outdoor programs that give families a fun way to learn about the city’s desert preserve system.
Adults don’t have to sit on the sidelines. They can get fit with an array of fitness classes, learn a new language or skill, or explore the city’s magnificent desert preserves on a guided outdoor program.
Phoenix Parks and Recreation Department programs and classes are offered at sites throughout the city. Spring classes and programs run from March through May.
